You evaluate instruments on MontroneDSP. When you choose to purchase, checkout is completed through Gumroad - a dedicated commerce platform - so payment is handled by specialised infrastructure rather than by this website.
MontroneDSP is an independent studio. We do not operate our own payment gateway. The store is powered by Gumroad so that cards, receipts, and delivery sit with a provider built for that work.
How a purchase works
Product pages, sound examples, manuals, and technical detail live on montronedsp.com. That is the studio site: the place to understand an instrument before you buy it.
When you select Buy, checkout is opened through Gumroad. Gumroad is the commerce layer: it takes the order, processes payment, issues the receipt, and delivers the files or license associated with that purchase.
This separation is deliberate. We keep the catalogue, writing, and product experience here. Payment stays with a platform whose purpose is secure retail.
Why Gumroad
Gumroad is an established digital-commerce provider used by independent software makers and publishers. It is not a decorative storefront we ask you to browse first; it is the checkout that sits behind the Buy action on each product page.
Using Gumroad means card data is processed in an environment designed for that task, with encrypted connections and payment partners who operate under industry card-handling standards. MontroneDSP does not run its own card terminal, and we do not receive or store your payment card numbers.
What you can expect

No checkout is risk-free in the abstract. What we can state clearly is that we do not ask you to send card details by email, and we do not keep a copy of your card on our servers.
What MontroneDSP receives
After an order, we may receive the information needed to fulfil it and to support you afterwards: typically the product bought, the date, the email used at checkout, and any license or download details attached to that sale.
That record exists so we can help with installation, activation, and refunds. It is not a second copy of your card.
